Biographies
 

Director Kate Cross grew up in Concord, MA.  She received her ballet training through the Royal Academy of Dancing pre-professional program and performed with the Nashua Ballet Company and Spencer/Colton in high school. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts (Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude) from Connecticut College.

In New York City Kate performed for Douglas Dunn and Dancers, as a soloist for the Rebudal Dance Group, and studied under a merit scholarship at the Cunningham Studio.

Kate founded Moving Arts in 2003 in Concord, MA after having taught at Jose Mateo’s Ballet Theater, the Children’s Dance Center, St. Catharine’s School and at Emerson College. She performs with Dan Wagoner, and locally with Marcus Schulkind and with EgoArt.

Edie Hettinger holds a BFA in dance performance from The Ohio State University.  She has worked and performed with choreographers Steve Koester, Rick Merrill, Willie Tsao, Bill T. Jones and Shir Le Wu among others. She has served on the artistic steering committee of the Moving Arts Company and currently performs with Danial McCusker Dance Projects. Edie choreographs for the children’s musical theater company, Superstar Productions, and is discovering the joy of teaching dance at the Moving Arts Dance.

Gina Gina Cronin was classically trained in ballet as a scholarship student at the Studio School of Dance in Shirley, MA under the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum prior to attending the Boston Conservatory as a dance major. She then danced with the Hampshire Dance company while finishing a Communications degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Gina has also studied jazz at the Jeanette Neil Studio in Boston and appeared in and choreographed numerous musicals for local theatre groups.
