This is the sixth year of the school’s state-of-the-art home in Harvard, MA. This move has marked a wonderful step in the continuation of quality dance education through Moving Arts. Director Kate Cross grew up in Concord, MA. She received her ballet training through the Royal Academy of Dancing pre-professional program and performed with the Nashua Ballet Company and Spencer/Colton in high school. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts (Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude) from Connecticut College. In New York City Kate performed for Douglas Dunn and Dancers, as a soloist for the Rebudal Dance Group, and studied under a merit scholarship at the Cunningham Studio. Kate founded Moving Arts in 2003 in Concord, MA after having taught at Jose Mateo’s Ballet Theater, the Children’s Dance Center, St. Catharine’s School and at Emerson College. She performs with Dan Wagoner, locally with Marcus Schulkind, and with EgoArt.
